GIO Gelati’s 4th Birthday!

4 years doesn’t seem like a lot but well… a lot can happen in just 4 years. Let’s take a look back through time.

We started with the dream of bringing real artisanal Italian gelato to the bay area and we were welcomed with open arms! Now, after 4 years we feel very much a part of the community. We love seeing your faces every day and sharing a delicious part of Italy with you.

We’ve tried hard to stay true to our original vision of bringing only the very best to the table. Selecting our ingredients by hand and by seasonality to best enhance each flavor to its fullest potential. This may mean an ever rotating selection of gelato flavors but it also means the very best.

Our aim of keeping it healthy, organic and local means handpicking ingredients made in the California sun by local farmers. This paired with a dash of Italian ingredients creates flavors more rich than we can find even in Italy. It’s truly the best of both worlds.

We like to think we’ve created something special here. We traveled over land and sea to follow a dream and its still just the beginning. Our little business has a long way to go and we plan on adapting to the changing tides of the world. After all, how many gelaterias can say they have their own subscription program?
